Proud to be wearing my Cardiff Half Marathon shirt. That’s the #Diff done, now its time to keep the training going for next months Easyrunner Sodbury Slog. (best adventure race by far). This is a little local run from Warmley back to the Parish
So after talking about it for many years I was encouraged by Ahab to sign up to run the Cardiff Half Marathon.
I set myself a goal of running sub 2 hours – The Diff was my first attempt at running the 13.1 miles so I wasn’t sure if it was “do-able”.
Cardiff is an amazing City and its sights distract you from the task of running (which is a good thing). The crowd support was massive. At points the crowd appeared to be 4-5 people deep.
Here is my video from inside the run.
I finished 7447 out of 21,000 runners and my official timing chip recorded a run time of-01:54:40
Get in….a time to beat when I run it again next year
An Epic weekend- Small waves on Saturday allowed for board japes and swapping, Sunday saw the arrival of the Sperrey’s, light winds and head-high waves, Monday was shoulder high & glass.
IT was also the death of my 7s – its tail got ripped off (*sad face)
5 hours in the car on a Friday after work – Motorway closed, stowaway keys, road works etc – nothing was gonna stop us
Warm weather, chance of a small wave and no where to sleep but the big outdoors…..
Summer 2014 is coming ……
“Life is better in boardshorts”
OTP Boys head to a sunny, small wave weekend at Polzeath, Cornwall UK – May 2014
A post work, late arvo surf at Toilets, Woolacombe with OTP boys Dylan & Buff
Great way to end the week with 2-4ft glass, off shores and a slight warmth from the setting sun…summers coming
